Episode 13: Shift your life with questions??

In this podcast episode, we embark on a journey exploring the powerful impact of the questions we habitually ask ourselves. Does  the quality of our questions shape the quality of our lives?? YESSSS!! Spoiler alert! It really f*cking matters!

Like most, we often grapple with self-critical thoughts and judgments that come in the forms of questions like “Why am I so stupid?!?” My hope is for you to consider the massive transformative power of shifting those questions that pop in our minds and internal dialogue.

The concept of a "primary question," a notion introduced through Tony Robbins' teachings, was the beginning of change for me and can be for you. These primary questions, ingrained within us from childhood as coping mechanisms, resurface during moments of stress or frustration, guiding us back to our emotional homes. Through sharing some of my own lovely examples, I hope to illustrate how these self-critical questions often stem from deeply ingrained emotions, such as anger, fear, or self-doubt.

However, we will also focus on the beacon of hope that is the potential for reframing and redirecting our questions towards curiosity-based thinking and exploration. By consciously choosing to ask better questions rooted in curiosity and learning, you can reprogram your subconscious mind and cultivate a more positive outlook on life.

Practical exercises and reflections are offered throughout this episode, inviting you to embark on your own journey of self-discovery. From identifying your primary questions to reframing them in a more empowering light, the episode serves as a roadmap for personal growth and transformation. Moreover, the importance of extending this curiosity beyond oneself, fostering deeper connections and meaningful interactions with others. Are you wishing you could more easily connect with others or create a deeper connection with existing relationships? Another spoiler alert…Questions and true curiosity can be a big part of the answer!

Hopefully this episode serves as a reminder that while our thoughts and emotions may shape our reality, we take ownership of our ability to reshape them through intentional questioning and introspection. Like anything worth having, it is up to us to learn and expand our personal skills and commit to a growth mindset.  By embracing curiosity and asking excellent questions, you can embark on a path towards greater fulfillment,  deeper and better connection, and personal well-being and joy.
