Episode 19: Small Joys, Big Happiness: Discover More Joy to Change Your Life

 
 

In today's episode of the Powered by Joy Podcast we're embarking on a treasure hunt for joy, drawing inspiration from the childhood game "I Spy." We explore how this game can be a tool for seeking and experiencing joy in our daily lives. We discuss how joy isn't just found in big moments like the birth of a child, a wedding, or achieving a major goal, but also in the small, everyday experiences. Especially those found in nature, which happen to usually be FREE! By setting an intention each morning to notice and acknowledge little moments that bring joy, we can transform our perspective and enhance our overall happiness. When is the last time you let yourself be excited, smile or share in your enjoyment of something small like a butterfly coming to visit you?  I encourage you to share these moments with others, which means spreading joy and creating more opportunities for connecting with those around us. 

I shared personal stories and insights on how moments of joy can be fleeting if not intentionally sought after and appreciated. We discuss the pure, unfiltered joy children experience and how adults can learn from this. It’s important to remember we are all worthy of experiencing and receiving those small moments of joy. 

Through this practice, my hope is that you can fill your lives with countless small joys, creating a life overflowing with happiness. Let’s not get to the end of life and only have a few big moments we remember filled with joy. Let’s get that “I spy” game in high gear and make daily life a little more joyful!
